Overview
Code Enforcement handles violations related to zoning, building codes, and permits, and works with the public to resolve concerns about code problems and violations. It ensures the removal of abandoned and broken-down vehicles, organizes the cleanup of neglected or run-down properties, plans special community cleanup projects, and promotes proper care and maintenance of properties.
How to file a complaint
- To submit a complaint online, fill out the Code Enforcement Investigation Form (PDF) or Abandoned Vehicle Complaint Form (PDF) and email Code Enforcement.
- If you want to file a complaint in person, visit City Hall at 1735 Montgomery St, complete the form there, and give the finished form to the staff.
- To file a complaint by mail, print and complete the form, then mail it to City Hall or send it by fax to (530) 538-2426.
Please note that all complaints are confidential and are essential for beginning the investigation process.
